This is a little project I decided to start recently in order to both challenge myself to write more often and to work on expressing my thoughts on films via the written word. One of my favorite things to do is go to the theater with some friends and then head to a diner or bar and talk about what we’ve just seen. I want to bring that kind of energy here to each review here.

If you’re looking for formal essay-style reviews, this isn’t where you’ll find them. I want these write-ups to be a jumping off point for conversation, not some rigid thesis-supporting arguments-conclusion formula. I started writing these back in early December 2021, and already the style of these writings have shifted and developed. I’m excited to see where this goes, and hope that readers will enjoy and/or get something out of them.
